TEGMA Board - Newly Elected

At TEGMA’s Annual Meeting, January 19, 2023, in Scottsdale, Arizona, members elected Aaron Reid with J.D. Heiskell & Company as their incoming second vice chairman. Aaron is an agricultural professional with over 25 years of agriculture experience that includes key leadership positions in commodity trading and commercial operations. He is a native of Ashland, NE, and a University of Nebraska-Lincoln grad. Reid began his career at Frontier Coop as a grain merchandiser and later went on to serve as a Vice President at Arizona Grain before joining J.D. Heiskell in 2008. Aaron gained valuable experience in the company by serving in General Manager roles in the Northwest, Southwest, and Colorado Regions and overseeing the Omaha Trade Group. Aaron serves as President and Chief Operating Officer at J.D. Heiskell. Aaron actively serves on industry-related organizations including NGFA and TEGMA.

Justin Cauley with CHS was elected to his first term on TEGMA’s Board of Directors. Justin is the Senior Director of Transportation, at CHS Inc, a position he has held since October 2020. He is responsible for management oversight of all transportation sourcing, execution, and operations. The modes of transportation include bulk ocean-going vessels, rail, barge, container, and truck.

Justin graduated with a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness with emphasis in markets and management from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and an MBA from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.

Another newcomer to the TEGMA Board is Trent Schairer. Trent is the current Vice President of Transportation for Bartlett Grain and Bartlett Milling, both Savage Companies, leading the North American supply chain and logistics team for Bartlett Grain since 2016 and Bartlett Milling since 2019. Trent started his career with Bartlett in 2008 in Kansas City, originating grains and oilseeds for both export and domestic channels. He has held various positions in his 14-year career with Bartlett, including managing the Company’s Kansas City elevators origination team, domestic wheat marketing, futures risk management, and cross-country trading. Trent was born in Northern Illinois, and graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, College of ACES. He resides in Prairie Village, KS with his wife and two children. Trent and his family enjoy the Colorado mountains and like to travel to hike and ski throughout the year.
