TEGMA Welcomes New Members
TEGMA is delighted to welcome two new regular members, Gavilon Grain, LLC, and West Plains Co.
- Gavilon Grain sources and distributes grain inputs including corn, wheat, soybeans, sorghum, milo and DDGS throughout North American, the Caribbean, Central America, South America, Europe and Asia. Gavilon Grain, with roots that go back well over 130 years as Peavey Grain, achieves quick, efficient handling while protecting quality with 64 high-volume capacity grain elevators. Greg Konsor is vice president and general manager - grain; Bryan Gustafson is director of rail transportation for Gavilon Grain.
- West Plains Company, headquartered in Kansas City, has three primary business units: marketing and merchandising, cross country marketing, and risk management services. The company operates country elevators in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming, as well as a terminal facility in Omaha. In addition, West Plains has five trading offices. Bryce Wells is president of the company; Morey Cade is director of merchandising and operations.
TEGMA President Mike Mandl said, "We welcome the addition of these two highly respected industry companies as TEGMA members. We look forward to their active participation. This represents excellent progress and we seek to re-build TEGMA's membership and re-direct the association towards addressing business and operational issues of key importance to larger shipper/receivers."
